    Calm & Connect: Middle School Skills Group (no cost)

    When: Wednesdays 6-7pm (Set dates below)

    Description:
    🌟 Help your middle schooler gain calm, confidence, and connection!
    Our Calm & Connect group helps 6th–8th graders learn practical coping and communication skills through creative, hands-on activities.

    Each week focuses on a powerful mental wellness theme — emotions, mindfulness, positive thinking, and healthy friendships — all in a fun, small-group setting led by licensed therapists.

    What students will do:
    🎨 Create art-based projects like mood trackers, affirmation cards, and “stress toolkits”
    💬 Learn how to express emotions, set boundaries, and support peers
    🌈 Build confidence and coping skills they can use anywhere

    Craft & Connect at Portage Family Healing Center (FREE)

    When: 1st Tuesday of every month, 6:30–8:00 pm

    Description:
    ✨ Slow down, create something beautiful, and connect with good people.
    Join us for Craft & Connect, a cozy monthly night of creativity and community at Portage Family Healing Center. Bring your own project or grab something we have on hand.

    Each month we’ll feature a simple, relaxing theme — from watercolor postcards to mindful doodles and mini vision boards. No experience required. Just show up, breathe, and enjoy the calm. (Don’t want to craft, that’s okay! Come join us for the community)

  • Mental Wellness Hour

    Practical tools, real conversations, and supportive learning—offered monthly both in person and online.

    Mental Wellness Hour is a monthly educational event designed to make mental health tools more accessible to our community. Each session introduces practical strategies for supporting emotional wellbeing, managing stress, and building healthier relationships.

    Some events are held in person at Portage Family Healing Center, while others are offered virtually, making it easy to participate in a way that works for you. Registration for each session is available directly through our website.

  • Healing Conversations: Free Mental Wellness Webinars

    At Portage Family Healing Center, we believe that mental wellness tools should be accessible to everyone.

    Healing Conversations is a free webinar series designed to provide practical education, helpful insights, and meaningful discussions about mental health, emotional well-being, and relationships. Each webinar focuses on a different topic and is led by members of our team who are passionate about supporting individuals and families in building healthier emotional patterns.

    These webinars are open to anyone who wants to learn more about mental wellness. Whether you are navigating stress, supporting your family, working toward personal growth, or simply curious about emotional health, these conversations are designed to offer practical tools you can apply in everyday life.

    Topics throughout the series may include areas such as emotional regulation, burnout, anxiety, relationships, parenting, nervous system health, and building resilience.

    to create accessible spaces where people can learn about mental wellness and feel more supported in their daily lives.
